It's been a long journey to this moment. Our NYU community has dedicated itself whole-heartedly to this year's election, which will be among the most consequential we'll ever experience. Now, all that's left to do is VOTE. Here are your eligible voter options for today, Tuesday, Nov. 3: Vote in person at your assigned polling place (don't forget any identification you may need). Drop off your absentee ballot at your designated drop off site.... When you've done it, tag us in your "I Voted" selfies for a chance to be featured! If you have any trouble casting your ballot, get in touch immediately with Election Protection by texting or calling 866-OUR-VOTE. You can also reach the NYU Votes team with any last-minute questions at nyuvotes[at]nyu[dot]edu.

An important reminder as we approach Election Day: Instructors are asked to accommodate students who miss class to participate in election activities on November 3, and supervisors should be flexible about providing sufficient time for employees to vote, keeping in mind that social distancing requirements may make voting take longer than usual.

It's normal to have trouble staying present during these uncertain times. Join us TONIGHT as we come together as a community on the eve of the election to practice techniques for managing stress when it feels most difficult. This special event will be led by NYU Global Spiritual Life's Melissa Carter with an introduction by President Andy Hamilton.

These are challenging times. Join us for Holding Breath: A 24-Hours Community Care Experience, starting Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 6:15 p.m. NYU faculty will host 15-minute care sessions where all are invited to enter an online room, locate your breath, find a collective rhythm, express a response, and gather your breath yet again. Curiosity and a generous spirit are all that’s needed.

Thursday, Nov. 5, at 3:30 p.m: Join our Post-Election Conversation on Race and Racism, a discussion designed to empower students to find their roles as agents of change at NYU and beyond. Participants can choose breakout rooms based on the themes of Prison and Policing, Black Lives Matter, Gender & Justice, LGBTQ+ Rights, Radical Empathy, Future Reflections, and Utopian Futures.
