Pound for pound, or perhaps ounce for ounce, spiders have a reputation for being one of the scariest and most feared of all the animal kingdom. What you probably didn't know is that they are exceptional disguise artists making them the most perfect Halloween mascot! This is a Mimic Ant Jumping Spider [Myrmarachne formicaria] and it uses its incredible ant disguise to trick potential predators like birds and wasps that would normally prey on spiders, but avoid ants because... they are either unpalatable or too much trouble. We had the privilege of working with Laura's Raw Honey to remove and relocate a Honey Bee Hive buried deep into a fallen tree on the campus of Hilton High School. Watch Brett and Laura as they carefully transfer the beehive from the fallen logs to their new homes. You'll be amazed at how big their hidden colony was and be sure to watch to the end to see all the honey we found!
