What a nice feeling after our guests left yesterday. We had a mini family reunion, two sisters, one husband and an Aunt stayed with us. There laughed and told stories and we found we had some mutual "friends." A weekend like this is the reason we are in business!

Great weekend in Cambridge! Thanks to Jon Katz for his open house. Our guests this weekend came from Baltimore to join in the fun at Bedlam Farm and convinced us to stop by too. It was amazing to see so many fans and talk with Jon. We loved having Jon's fans as guests and quickly realized that, through Jon, they know so much about Cambridge and the surrounding area, they were teaching us!

My husband Bill and I are beekeepers. We went to Washington DC last fall to protest in front of the EPA, trying to get them to ban pesticides that are killing the honey bees. Try our honey when you come to visit.

The Village of Cambridge is buzzing as Gordon Ramsey films a segment of his new show "Hotel Hell" at the Cambridge Hotel. All of the local papers have run articles and people are making plans to visit the hotel after the filming to see the changes. This event is a real boost to interest in our local area. Plan a trip our way and visit the Cambridge Hotel and all of the wonderful things to see and do in our area. Of course, planning on staying with us, we are just down the street from the Hotel!

As we begin 2012 we would like to take the time to thank everyone who stayed with us in 2011. We just completed our most successful year and one of the greatest joys of running a B&B is meeting wonderful people like all of you. We certainly made a lot of new freinds in 2011. The B&B is on vacation! We have gone south and will be back on December 22nd. If your are in Cambridge for the holidays please stop by to say hello or spending the night. We would love to see you.

The house is now painted a beautiful blue. The trim is white and will get the final coat next year. Now we are easy to find, we are the only blue house on the block.

Oh dear, we are stuck!!!! Our painter was pulled off to another job and we are stuck at the primer white stage. He dropped by today to deliver the paint but isn't certain when he will get back to our job. So....if you pass by the colors are coming....but...we don't know when. By the way we choose a blue-grey for the house, white for the trim and a beautiful dark blue or the accents. Can't wait to see those colors on the house.

20 East Main B&B is going through another transition. It is being painted, all 3400 square feet! It’s like a caterpillar coming out of its cocoon. Right now the primer coat is going on and we are looking at colors. Our original plan is a blue-grey body, brilliant white trim and purple accents. Paint choices have to made by next week. Right now it is turning primer white. Pictures to come.

Our kitchen cabinets were built by Creative Custom Woodcraft in Hoosick, NY and our contractor was Charlie Lapinski in Cambridge, NY. They were both great to work with.
