Lincoln Pharmacy is taking names for our Vaccine waitlist at our website: www.albanylincolnpharmacy.com If you have already emailed us that’s fine, you do not need to reenter your name. This list is not a guarantee that you will get a vaccine from us. If you have an opportunity to receive the vaccine elsewhere, please do so. We know how many people want and need this vaccine. We are also an extremely busy pharmacy and our staff must focus on safely filling prescriptions.... We ask that you do not call the pharmacy to ask for the status of the vaccine. We will try hard to answer emails, texts and Facebook messages, but know that the volume of these messages is high, and it may take time. We are, as always, committed to serving our community. We are working hard to distribute this vaccine as quickly and as safely as possible. The scale of this is huge, but we are up to the challenge and are constantly brainstorming ways to make this process run as smoothly as possible. Some observations from our first few days of vaccinations: 1. If you have Medicare, please bring your RED WHITE and BLUE Medicare card. Pharmacies will not be billing the card you usually use at the pharmacy or doctors office. You will not pay out of pocket for the vaccine regardless of your insurance coverage. It’s not a mistake when the pharmacy asks for your Red, White, and Blue card, it’s the way it has to be done for the COVID vaccine. 2. The vaccine cannot be administered if you have had another vaccine (like the flu shot, or shingles vaccine) in the previous 2 weeks. Please keep this in mind if you schedule your vaccine. 3. If you have a preexisting health condition like cancer, HIV/AIDS, an autoimmune disorder, have the discussion with your doctor now to see if you should receive the vaccine. 4. It is OK to be unsure about receiving the vaccine. Talk to your healthcare providers, read articles, make an INFORMED choice. Please don’t book an appointment and then not show up because you changed your mind. Let your site know so they can arrange for another person to receive the dose. 5. Last week 300,000 doses were released for 8,000,000 people. As a pharmacy our order for vaccine isn’t like ordering normal inventory. We get notifications of allocations and then we have to plan. There is a huge element of unpredictability and surprise here for us as well. We wish we knew when you’ll be eligible, when your parents turn will come, when we can all stop wearing masks, but we don’t, please be patient.

As we head into one of the busiest weeks for pharmacies across the country, we wanted to update our COVID testing schedule for the upcoming week. We will not be COVID testing on Monday, January 4th. We will offer limited testing appointments for Tuesday-Friday. Availability for those appointments will open 2 days in advance. So Tuesday slots will open Sunday, and so on. ... The best way to contact us is through this page. We encourage you to message us through this page with questions, we will respond as quickly as possible. Please be aware, our pharmacy staff does not have information about testing availability at other locations, or the types of testing they offer. Hi Friends. We have some other tasks to get caught up on in the pharmacy so there will be no COVID testing Friday 12/11. We will resume testing on Monday 12/14. We need to make some minor tweaks to the form, once those are done we will start accepting new bookings. Thank you all for your incredible support and patience as we work to figure out the best process here. This is a completely new direction for pharmacy in NYS, and we are excited and honored to be a part of this huge change in our profession!
