Today the onduty group got the hook-up from 2 great supporters. Rocky's Millwood Deli Via Captain/Ex-Chief Santone of Millwood Fire took care of us with some world renowned Rocky’s Breakfast Sandwiches. Later on, lunch was sent up by the City of Rye’s Bravest the Rye Professional Firefighters Local 2029. We are always lucky enough to get taken care of by many agencies and supporters during the year. We appreciate you taking the time to remember us. We extend our thanks and well wishes to all and to your families, wishing a Happy, Safe, & Healthy Holiday Season. Field Comm 1 joined dozens of Police, Fire & EMS units from all over Westchester tonight at the annual Operation Blue Santa event at the Westchester Medical Center & Maria Fareri Children's Hospital in Valhalla. This annual event, organized by Westchester County Police Department, is a way of bringing both hope and holiday cheer to the pediatric and adult patients currently at these facilities. Thank you WCPD for organizing this event that we were proud to participate in!

This past week, Chief Volk, Captain Munson and QA/QI Officer Abbott were proud to give Dispatcher Excellence Awards to three of the 60 Control dispatchers for their success in assisting with pre-arrival baby deliveries in 2019. This had been a work in progress for several months, but due to the madness that has been 2020, it was delayed. The recipients were Dispatcher Mike Cyrulik (671), Dispatcher Derek Grisanti (675) and Dispatcher Matt Hollis (674). We are told more awards are coming soon - great job guys!
