Here is what we are doing to keep you safe! I know most of you know this but here is a friendly reminder We take this whole situation very seriously and have thought thru everything to keep everyone safe... 1- Virtual Training- stopping the spread begins with prevention! We are asking anyone if they feel even a little under the weather to STAY HOME and train with us virutally. This stops the spread and lowers the risks for everyone and our trainers 2- Having 2 facilites- each facility is open 3x per week with 24 hours in between appointments. Also both facilites are closed on Sundays which allows germs on surfaces to die 3- Screening- We ask anyone to text us if they feel slightly under the weather and we make arrangements to move them to virtual. In addition to that we take everyones temperture to ensure if anyone has even a slight raise in temperture they wont be allowed in to the facility 4- Social distancing- Everyone has a 9ft social area so there is more then 6ft distance between each other 5- Air Purification- We have a unit in each facility that cleans and purifies the air in the gym. The purifier remains on to clean the air 6- Client Cleaning Protocols- We are asking everyone to clean any equipment that they may touch with disinfectant. This helps to keep the equipment super clean 7- Trainer Cleaning Protocols- Trainers have specific cleaning duties to be done each day and most importantly at the end of every shift the gym is sprayed down with a fogger and a disinfectant. This ensures that between our morning session and afternoon session the gym remains germ free 8- Sunday Deep Cleans- Since we are closed on Sunday the gym gets a big deep clean so the facilites are spotless In addition to this Governor Cuomo has stated "By the facts" that gyms are one of the lowest known spreaders with a .06% spread rate. And thats a normal gym like a planet fitness. Since we have all these procedures and we are a personal training facility are rate is at least half of that number. Why do I need to eat protein to lose weight? There is a reason high protein diets are linked to weight loss! The thermic effect of food basically meals every time you eat food (calories in) your body burns (calories out) an amount of calories to digest and process that same food!... Here’s the thing....not all foods burn the same amount of calories to digest. Protein is highest on the chart at 20-30% meaning if you eat 100 calories worth of protein you only bet about 70-80 of those calories after the digestion process. Compare that to carbs at roughly half (5-10%) Or even less with fats (0-3%) Can you see now why If you change nothing else but just increasing your protein intake you will be more likely to lose weight? There’s a reason for high protein diets on our plan...because they work! Who loves burning calories from eating

Look at AB Fitness Holiday Donations to Last Hope-Part 2 Last Sunday our AB Fitness Friends-Jennifer & Anthony Bevilacqua -Returned wit...h their Gym Clients' Donations that had been Back Ordered by Chewy & Amazon. Georgia Transport Pup Sisters-HANNAH & HARLEY- were excited & overjoyed about meeting the dog-loving Bevilacqua Family & the gifts Part 2, especially the tons of Milkbones. There were cases of Fancy Feast for our kittens & Science Diet for our dogs, a specialized microwaveable disk to keep infant kittens warm, new blankets, pet wipes, martingale collars & other specific gifts off the Last Hope Wish List. AB FITNESS Continued A Tradition of Kindness in Memory of a Beloved Boxer Before Christmas AB Fitness Filled Our Lobby with so Many Gifts the Lobby Looked Like a Pet Supply Warehouse. And the AB Fitness Incredible Donation Check of $2,000 was immensely huge in size & in the spirit of the season . For the 2nd year in a row, our Friends- Anthony & Jennifer Bevilacqua- owners of AB Fitness in East Meadow & now Massapequa organized a supply drive for the Last Hope dogs & cats. This Wonderful act of kindness is in memory of the Bevilacquas' beloved Boxer ROCKY who passed away from cancer last year at 8 years old, and now sadly, their dear 11 year old Shepherd SADIE who succumbed suddenly to hemangiosarcoma after Christmas. They asked their friends, (many being members of the gym) to donate supplies at Christmas time. For the much-appreciated $2,000 check, they sold special AB Fitness/animal rescue theme shirts (see green shirt in photos) . The proceeds from the shirt sale plus a gift from AB Fitness made up the generous total. Tons of contributions started piling up before Christmas. Amazon & Chewy boxes were delivered to the Gym & the Bevilacqua home. The rest of the AB FITNESS motherlode of donations arrived over the weekend. It just shows you how much of an impact we can have when we come together as a community! ... It never fails that around this time of year everyone just seems to fall off. Did thanksgiving throw you off and now you feel like you might as well just wait until the new year comes to start losing weight? The average weight gain through the holiday season is 7-10lbs...so if you started now you would PREVENT holiday weight gain. ... When people start working out with us almost everyones goal is fat loss. and while fat loss is important sometimes you have to remember that NOT Gaining is even better especially during the holiday season! I get that excuse from people all the time..."I will just wait until January" but why? You want to put on weight during the holidays only to have to work 3x as hard to get that weight off? Our "AB Fitness Transformation Protocol" works best when its combined with momentum. You need to start building momentum in order to see success. Right now is the perfect time to start developing habits that will PREVENT FAT gain....boost your energy levels and finally get healthier! You dont have to be "all in" to see success In fact I would argue that being "all in" will not be sustainable. Prior to coming to us most of our clients have used weight watchers in the past. I never really had an opinion of it until someone brought it up to me in conversation the other day. This lead me to lift the hood on this diet and go through it. Weight watchers is basically a point based system designed to help you lose weight....
