Hozen Seki, founder of the New York Buddhist Church (1938) and the American Buddhist Study Center (1951). The Great Sound of Enlightenment was Rev. Seki’s last book he wrote 1989; he leaves us with one final work for his students and seekers of Pure Land Buddhism. Here he writes about two sutras which come from the Larger Sukhavativyuha Sutra (Dai Muryoju Kyo). The San Butsu Ge and the San Sei Ge, which are two of the most popular sutra chants in the Jodo Shinshu tradition.
