**COURTESY POST** Location: Quakertown, PA Roxy, 8 yrs old, spayed female... Roxy is a loving, loyal and playful Australian Cattle Dog. She has aggression issues with other dogs and small children. She is 8 years old, housebroken, up to date on all vaccinations and is spayed. She likes men in particular. Her health is good. She loves playing, fetching and going for walks. We have a fenced yard that she enjoys but we cannot leave her out for long because our neighbors have dogs and she aggressively tries to get to them through the fence. She is very territorial. We are seeking a new home for Roxy because of her aggression towards our other dog and also toward small children (as our family is growing). She needs an environment where she receives lots of individualized attention. She does have separation anxiety but barks and whines without destroying things. She is very loyal to those whom care for her. We really are struggling with our decision, however, know that it is in her best interest and ours. We will try to help with transportation. We ask for an adoption fee of $150 to know you are serious about providing a loving home for her. Roxy is not an ACDRA Foster dog. If you have questions or are interested in adopting Roxy, please email [email protected]

AVAILABLE Wendy Once she gets to know you, you might not meet a sweeter girl than Wendy, and look at those beautiful eyes. At 8 months old, Wendy is a playful and fun puppy, but not over the top with the cattle dog crazies. After getting out for a long walk or playing in the yard, she will settle down for couch snuggles. But she’s still a puppy, and if she sleeps all day while you’re working, she will party well into the evening. Once she’s old enough, she could be a great r...unning buddy, as she loves all the sights and smells on our neighborhood walks. Wendy was picked up as a stray, and she’s not convinced that the world outside her foster home is a safe place, but she’s making good progress. She is cautious of new people and dogs, so slow introductions to new things will be needed to help her gain confidence. She gets along well with the 11 year old male cattle dog in her foster home, because he mostly ignores her and didn’t acknowledge her existence for several days after she arrived. A young exuberant dog might overwhelm her at an initial meeting. Wendy is making progress on house-training, but she is still a pup and does have accidents sometimes. And because she’s young and still learning, she may chew on things she shouldn’t if given the opportunity. She sleeps through the night in a crate, and because her foster mom works at home, she also naps in a crate during the day with several breaks throughout. She definitely wants to be near her person at all times, and will sing to you if she gets left behind. Nothing is more fun for Wendy than doing the zoomies in the yard, so she will do best in a home with a fenced yard. She has not been exposed to cats, and we would not recommend a home with small children at this time, and she’s prone to herd her humans with calf bumps and nudges (but not hard nips). Wendy weighs ~34 pounds, is spayed, micro-chipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations and preventatives. She’s being fostered in Lexington, KY and her ideal adopter will be able to meet her prior to adoption. Check out more photos and videos of Wendy here. If you have any questions about Wendy, please contact her foster home at [email protected]. If you’re interested in adopting Wendy, please submit an application at https://www.acdra.org/adoption-application

I really don’t like to talk about myself, but mama says you need to know a little bit about me to fall in love with me. Please don’t ask me to tell you where I came from or all I have been through as it makes my heart hurt and makes mama cry. **COURTESY POST** Location: Boscawen, NH Scout, 2 yrs old, neutered male, 45LBS... Scout 2 y/o neutered male ACD mix available in NH. He is high energy and enjoys playing with us humans and our other dog, a black lab. A fenced in yard would be best with an experienced ACD or working dog owner(s). Foundations in agility, disc, fitness/conditioning and tricks (TKI), basic obedience training; highly food motivated, likes toys but not obsessed; medium drive; house and crate trained; jumps and muzzle punches, some difficulty with settling out of his crate; impulse control a work in progress; good with other dogs; not tested around cats (there are none around us); fine with kids (we have 2 boys that are 6 and 8. Our 8 y/o has SPD with symptoms that are getting increasingly difficult to manage and Scout picks up on that.) I started using an e-collar with good effects for his jumping. We are reehoming him because of our family dynamics; not a good fit for him anymore. We would love to have his new home continue with his agility or another sport. Willing to travel to rehome as well. He is really a good boy but it is just not a good fit anymore. Scout is not an ACDRA foster dog. If you have any questions or are interested in adopting Scout email [email protected]

**COURTESY POST** Location: Columbus, OH Zeke, 2yr old neutered male, 30lbs... Are you ready? I am soooooo ready!!! This is Zeke with his game-on, let’s go, you-look-like-a-lot-fun happy face. He wears it most of the time. He loves car rides, chasing squirrels out of the yard, tossing his squeaky toys around and considers himself the cutest lapdog ever. He works beautifully for treats and is game to try most things. He has a lovely recall and voluntarily checks back in with his human when out in the yard. Right now he’s working on Wait before going through a door or out of the car. He is crate trained and housetraining is about 90% there. He likes people but doesn’t bowl them over when first meeting. He stays close to his family members when inside. He does like to jump when excited or when he wants attention so young children would not be ideal housemates. Zeke can be cautious with other dogs. He’s done well with a small group of dogs who have good interdog skills. Once he’s comfortable, he’s a relentless player. His style is rowdy but he can take No for an answer. He’s not a good candidate for dog parks or dog daycare as these are overwhelming. Kitties are just too much fun to chase so, please, no cats. Zeke is 2 years old and weighs about 30 pounds so he’s on the small side. He’s neutered, microchipped and up to date on his shots. Up until early September Zeke was housed primarily outside when his current guardian purchased him and had his veterinary needs attended to. She is unable to keep him because of personal health issues as well as the resident cat. He’s a sweet boy with a lot of energy and a lot of catching up to do. He will make a happy, fun and loyal addition to the right home. I am willing to travel up to 3 hours from Columbus Ohio to do home visits. Meeting all members of the household is very important and I will require an adoption fee and a rehoming contract. Zeke is not an ACDRA foster dog. If you have any questions or are interested in adopting Zeke email [email protected]

***ON HOLD 10/28/2020. WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS ON THIS DOG.*** Colt Are you looking for a handsome hunk to join you in all your fall activities!? Thinking about taking up agility, dock diving, fly ball, barn hunt? If you answered yes, then look no further! Colt is your guy!... Meet the sweet, social, handsome hunk Colt! Colt was surrendered to the rescue when his family decided they could no longer care for him, Colt hasn't looked and back, only looking forward to enjoying his new life!!! Colt is an active boy, who would love to try his hand at any dog sport! He is very athletic, agile and always up for learning new things! He would thrive in a home where he has lots of mental and physical stimulation! After a good long walk, Colt is happy to climb up on the couch and take a nice long nap! Colt is currently living in a home with other dogs, while he gets along great with everyone, he is still learning proper play styles, he would do best in a home with another playful, tolerant dog, he may be too much for some. Colt currently lives with cats, but would do best in a home with no feline friends. Colt lived most of his life in an outdoor kennel, but is house and crate trained! Colt loves every person he meets. He is learning that jumping isn't the proper way to get attention, because he gets so excited when he meets new people, he would do best in a home with older kids. Colt is 2 years old, neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. She is current on her flea/tick and heartworm prevention, and weighs about 43 pounds. Colt is being fostered in Canandaigua NY Questions? Email Colt's foster home at [email protected] Interested in adopting Colt?
