A stretch gauge is a valuable tool you should have if you build anything with good bolts. Most of the time they need more than the specified torque to properly stretch.

All new valves, valve springs, complete 3 angle valve job, surface milled, and the exhaust seats were modified to accept modern viton valve seals. Now it won't smoke like an old garbage truck. Lol! What do you do when your customer has bigger valves then the pistons are set up for. Notch them.

Just finished up this MPI 454 Gen 6 boat engine. We don't often put all the parts on but it's no big deal.
