Achievement First Advocacy has partnered with When We All Vote to ensure that all of our families, and eligible scholars are registered to vote and hit the polls in November! The time is NOW, because our next two years will determine our children’s (communities/cities) next twenty. From now until the end of 2021, New Yorkers will elect our representatives in the state legislature, Congress and City Council, a President, and a new Mayor. With trying times in our nation and rec...ent changes in voting laws, this is a pivotal moment for us to stand up, embrace this challenge and make our voices heard. As a community, we go further together. There is so much at stake on the ballot this year. We vote now for the next 15/20/25! Please register to vote and/or check your status by visiting before the October 09th deadline by visiting https://www.whenweallvote.org/achievementfirst/ Upon successful registration feel free to post a photo on social media using the #AFVotes #AFAdvocacy Here are a few reasons you may need to update your voter registration: o You’ve moved or updated your address since you last voted o You’ve changed your name, marital status, or citizenship status o You’ve changed your political party preference o You haven’t voted in the past few elections RSVP for 10/08 Virtual Civic Engagement & Empowerment Rally: Registered & Ready We will be partnering with the New York & Connecticut Charter School Association, Uncommon, Kipp and C3S for an evening of civic empowerment! When it comes to voting, it is critical to know all options and plan ahead. We will be joined by When We All Votes to help make a plan of action that shows our collective power at the polls! Get ready to hear from students, school leaders, elected officials and other special guests as we get #registeredandready Register by 10/07 at http://bit.ly/UKAVotes
