***********TRAILS ARE CLOSED*********** We don't like this time of year anymore than you do, but please respect our landowners and stay off closed trails!! Maybe March will bring some snow storms and allow us to open for another weekend or two... Think Snow!!

So sad to hear that the fatality was one of NYC's finest...Stay alert while riding and ALWAYS watch for obstacles!! You never know what may be hidden under the snow...

Adirondack Trailriders 04.03.2021

Prayers to the families of those affected... Slow Down!! Stay Right!! Ride Smart!!

When visiting our beautiful Eastern Adirondack Towns of Ticonderoga and Crown Point, NY on the step between the Champlain Valley and the Adirondack Mountains, please expect a diverse terrain that is truly an Adirondack experience!! With this comes great changes in elevation along each route... Please always check conditions before you ride and be aware of these variations in elevation when enjoying our trails! Ride Safe, Be Smart & Think Snow!!

TRAILS UPDATE: With the warmer weather, please stay off trails when temperatures are above 40F. By doing so, we can preserve the base and extend our riding season. Otherwise, the trails will be destroyed resulting in all trails closing early. Thank you for your cooperation!! Think Snow!!

********RIDERS BEWARE******* Apparently the only resident on Stoney Lonesome has complained and threatened legal action, so the Crown Point Hwy. Dept., has scraped to bare dirt & pushed back to the trees, leaving nothing for snowmobiles...

Nice weather we're having here in the ADK!! Afer volunteering long hours over multiple days in various machines trying to get our trails into shape, I decided ...to take a rip this evening on my kitty and did "the loop"... For those who don't know "the loop", I trailered to the far corner of Advance Auto Parking lot, unloaded and jumped on C8E heading North on the power line, across Burm Baughn Rd., around Miller Mtn., thru Crown Point, to Round Pond, jumping on our C8C trail North of Overshot and continuing South to Junction 30. I then headed back to Ti via our C8E trail from Fleming Pond on Stoney Lonesome Rd. This was where things got me HOTT!!!! Apparently some ASSHAT thought it was cool to drive their truck from Letsonville Rd., onto our NY State Corridor trail C8C (seasonally CLOSED road) Fleming Pond Rd., which turns into Stoney Lonesome Rd./NY State Corridor trail C8E (also seasonally CLOSED road), completely destroying the flawless trail that I personally packed & groomed with our Tracked Blazer & drag just 2 days ago... The law can deal with these fucktards!! After that, riding the new trail from Stoney Lonesome to Corduroy Rd., was ridable, but rough & boney in a few areas. We just need more snow to increase the base & coverage. The new trail behind the old Lark on Chilson is also rough & boney, but it beats sharing the bridge on Rt.74 with tractor trailer trucks... Chilson from Hall Rd., all the way to Maplefields was what dreams are made of, considering I just dragged it earlier today with our big SV-301 With a few short stops, It took around 3-hours... Give it a try, but beware, it seems people are finding it hard to stay on trails, and there's tracks going everywhere in many areas, so it can be difficult to find your way at times... We are working to increase signage, but we need volunteers to help cover the many miles. Or better yet, STAY ON THE TRAILS!!!! I hope we get a big dump of powder, SOON!! Enjoy it while you can...Think Snow!! See more

Trails are thin folks, especially at lower elevations!! WE NEED MORE SNOW...!!!!! Get out and ride while you can!! GREAT BIG THANKS to the a$$h()le that destroyed our recently groomed C8E snowmobile trail on Stoney Lonesome by driving a truck across our freshly groomed trail... NOTE: This is a NY STATE FUNDED CORRIDOR SNOWMOBILE TRAIL. VIOLATERS WILL BE PROSECUTED!! We can only hope that one of the trail cams got something we can work with... Think Snow !!

Hello riders!! We received some fluffy love on the trails today!! We have packed & groomed C8E today with our big SV-301 machine & drag, from Corduroy Rd./NYS Rt.74 on Chilson to Maplefields in Ti, then on to just before Burm Baughn Rd. Toward Crown Point & back... Trails should be nice this weekend!! Keep doing those snow dances, we need much more to obtain absolute perfection!! Ride Smart, Stay Safe & Think Snow!!

TRAILS UPDATE: C8E from Maplefields in Ticonderoga to Stoney Lonesome was cleared & packed on Sunday night, then cleared & packed from the trail entry onto Stoney Lonesome to Junction 30 today... C8C was cleared & packed from our connection with Schroon Lake/North Hudson Snowmobile Club at Letsonville Rd., to Old Furnace Rd., and into Knob Pond today... Please note that the gate is still closed/locked at the Knob Pond entrance from Old Furnace Rd., so no packing, grooming or... clearing has occured yet from that gate to our connection with the Moriah Snowmobile Club... We expect NYSDEC to open the gate soon, but you can get by it on a Snowmobile, just not the groomer. We have a nice base started, but need more snow... Stay Safe & Have Fun out there!! Think Snow!! FOR THOSE IN THE BACK... Riding on anybody else's property, off the designated trails or on closed trails is in fact TRESPASSING!! We work extremely hard building relationships with landowners so we all can have somewhere to ride. When you disregard everyone else to get in a ride on thin snow cover, you put these agreements at risk and potentially cause trail closures that screw us all. The answer is simple, wait until trails open officially and stay on the designated trails!! Think Snow!!

Adirondack Trailriders 29.11.2020

HUGE THANK YOU, Volunteers!!!!! Your help is so greatly appreciated!! More hands certainly makes less work for all... We will be at it again tomorrow for a few hours, beginning around noon. If you have some time, come give a hand or even just to take a look... Send us a message. ... Think Snow!! See more

Just back from packing trails and cutting down trees & branches from the recent HEAVY snow! Our trails are now open to ride at your own risk... We have only packed & cleared from Maplefields in Ti, to Stoney Lonesome. Please continue to cross Putnam Creek via State Rt.74 as we have not completed the new bridge yet and the ice is only ~2" thick!! We expect to have the bridge completed and open before February 1st...... Please stay on the trails, stay tuned, ride safe & Think Snow!! If you encounter any hazards in your travels, please make us aware by sending us a private message...
