Santanoni Winter Weekends are one of our favorite events of the year. We love sharing the camp with old friends and new, the sound of skis on snow, and the sigh...t of the artist's studio's fogged up window. We're sad to announce that the event has been cancelled for 2021 due to covid concerns - it probably isn't the best time to pack into a small warming hut! We encourage you to still visit and enjoy the ski or snowshoe trip to camp. The beauty of Santanoni in the snow is definitely not cancelled! See more

Today is #GivingTuesday, a day to celebrate and support nonprofits across the nation and across the world that continue working hard to foster resilience, health, and vibrancy in their communities. AARCH continues working toward these goals as well. Please see the brief video below to catch a glimpse of our Keeseville Waterfront Park Revitalization project. As we pass our 30 year mark and enter Steven’s final year as our executive director, it’s a good time to recognize and c...elebrate the positive impacts AARCH has and continues to have on our communities all across the region in this challenging year and beyond. Our year-end Annual Appeal is a time where we ask you, our thoughtful, devoted friends and family, to lend us your support, however small, to help us further our good work. Saving the buildings that make our region so special like Debar Pond Lodge, our treasured Fire Towers, small farms, historic bridges, and everything in between makes our communities more vibrant, and cannot happen without this vital support. Consider a donation to help AARCH keep saving, celebrating, and preserving the Adirondack region's treasured places and communities: https://www.aarch.org/product/one-time-donation/ Thank you so much to you all for your continued love and support going forward. Please be well, and stay safe.

Among the crown jewels of the Adirondacks are complexes known as Great Camps, and the Adirondack Architectural Heritage (AARCH) has taken interest in another, a... 1950 set of structures alongside Debar Pond in Franklin County, known as Debar Lodge. In this week's "Rich in History," Richard Frost shares the backstory to Debar Lodge. To read the full story, check out LCW either in print or online at www.lakechamplainweekly.com.

This year, AARCH remains in motion. We are fighting to preserve Debar Pond Lodge, creating accessible educational content, planning another season of safe, quality programming, and have produced a record number of nominations to the National Register of Historic Places this year. As tough as 2020 has proven, we remain passionate, thankful, and resilient. Our members, friends, and supporters are the backbone of our work, and we can’t maintain this resilience without the people..., places, and stories we represent. That is why we’re asking you to consider giving to this year’s Annual Appeal. Every gift of support, no matter how small, helps us immensely. With this support, we will continue working hard to save, preserve, educate, and advocate for our region’s treasured places. You may donate here: https://www.aarch.org/product/one-time-donation/. See our latest YEAR IN REVIEW and read about our busy 2020 season: https://www.aarch.org//archives/activities-accomplishments/ Thank you from the AARCH team, and be safe.
