The farm food you see at The Hub takes time and care before it lands in our store. In October we're incorporating amendments into our soil and planting cover crops. Soon it will be planning and seed ordering time. The earliest plants get started the end of December, needing daily care. All supplies must be ready, we must not miss a beat, or all our work will come to naught. This past winter was the busiest winter we've ever had, changing our plans midstream and difficult... last minute sourcing to accomplish this, within the ever changing doomsday predictions that were occurring. In each step we weren't alone. Machinery parts, fuel, animal feed, seeds, greenhouse supplies were needed and there were many people at these companies that pulled through with what it took to help achieve a semblance of food security for our customers. I just noticed a comment that is going viral, "They're saying, 'Jeez, the reason I was able to stay sequestered in my home is because some Black woman was able to stack the grocery shelf,'" These essential workers were of many many different backgrounds, colors, races, ages and beliefs. We all pulled together to do what was necessary to serve you, and now I want to cry when I see the polarization, fear and anger that is occurring. I am asking all of you to look for underlying true facts and share them without agenda. With the corporate political money corruption game, facts are being twisted and slander is common place. Money, Power and Politics are a distraction. The Truth and Life is within each one of us, we just need to make the choice to listen to the Great Conductor and choose the Gold Rule, So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you.
