Students in advanced cosmetology, barbering and health sciences classes at Albany High’s Abrookin Career and Technical Center got hands-on experience at school Thursday, part of the City School District of Albany’s second phase of reopening. In-person sessions for advanced music and career and technical education students are underway, and in-person lessons start Nov. 12 for advanced high-school art students. Please support a drive-though food drive! WHO: The Albany High School girls' swim and dive team is holding a food drive to benefit the South End Children's Cafe. WHEN: 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 15 WHERE: Rear parking lot of Albany High School (off N. Main Ave.)... HOW: Please wear a mask when you drive up and drop off your items (preferably bagged) to one of our scholar-athletes who will add your contribution to the swim and dive team's collection. Suggested donations include: bread, fresh fruit (bananas, apples, oranges), fresh vegetables (especially potatoes, cherry tomatoes, broccoli), canned fruits and vegetables, mac and cheese kits, cereal, granola bars, taco kits, rice, instant mashed potatoes, pasta and sauce, jam, canned tuna and chicken, peanut butter. #allinforalbany
