Republic Day Celebrations 2021 on Sunday, January 31, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM @TRICIA FACEBOOK LIVE! Dear Members We invite submissions from our community for the virtual cultural program, as per guidelines.... Please register your Cultural Program request before January 10, 2021 CLICK HERE TO REGISTER https://forms.gle/TMR3WbBsyF3BabVr9 Cultural Program Guidelines All program submissions for Republic day 2021 should be in video format - 1080p. 1. Program requests will be honored in the order they are received. 2. Items with Patriotic/Regional/Traditional Indian theme are preferred. 3. Each Song/Dance should not exceed more than 6 (six) minutes. 5. Duplication of songs will not be allowed. 6. Participants can perform in only one item. 7. Costumes should be appropriate to the event. 8. Programs (Skits/Plays) related to patriotism will be given preference. 9. Since rehearsal is not possible TRICIA will evaluate the content of submission and revert back in case of any changes. 10. Solo performances will be allowed, depending on the volume of submissions. 11. Speech and/or skits (duration is max 3-5 minutes) on any topic related to India is preferred versus below 8-year-old kids performance. 12. TRICIA reserves the right to accept/decline any items. Our TRICIA Team has responded to the Governor, thanking him for his warm gesture toward our Indian community. Below is our thank you message to Governor Cuomo:... Diwali, which falls on this Saturday, holds utmost significance for all Indians living throughout the world. It is a time of joy and celebration in our home country of India, as well as in our communities throughout the world. It is extremely gratifying to our Indian community in the state for our beloved governor to recognize this holiday and extend his warm message to us all. His words in the proclamation make us feel happy and proud, and we appreciate his action. We continue to be tremendously proud of our Governor and how he continues to steer our state during these challenging times due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On August 15, 1947, our ...first Prime Minister of independent India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, hoisted our tri-color national flag at the Red Fort in Delhi. It was a crowning achievement after a long and painful struggle against foreign rule. On that day, seventy-three years ago, we began our own identity as an independent people. This day is of utmost respect and significance in the heart of every Indian living in India and abroad. Congratulations to all on this special day from our TRICIA Team. As you know, we had planned on celebrating Independence Day, as we do each year, with a picnic event full of fun, food and cheer.
