I apologize for not sharing this with the supporters and contributors of the foundation I am so lucky to have. I posted this on my profile page about a week agoHad a bit of an emotional crisis about two months ago. Just too much on my plate and had no idea how to manage it all because everything seemed to be priority. I was overwhelmed and very sad. I stepped back from work and took a breather. Sometimes life is just too much for us to handle alone. If you are feeling that w...ay, have the courage to reach out to loved ones and say I need help. To those who have helped me through this time, you know who you are and I love you with all my heart. I am starting to recognize myself again. The new addition to our family in this picture has been pure joy and sweetness. I have let myself take the time to enjoy him. Best wishes to everyone as always. See more

One of my biggest pet peeves is going to a restaurant and not fitting under the table because my foot rest hits the pedestal. Not anymore! Thanks to my occupational therapist, my new wheelchair has foot plates further apart, allowing me to slip right between a pedestal. The smallest things sometimes have the biggest impact. Every time I couldn’t fit under a table, it reminded me I was paralyzed. Thanks Mary!

My deepest apologies! Recently, I shared a post w/ a link that was faulty. All is well, again my deepest apologies and I hope you check out the following link to learn how to prevent one of the biggest secondary issues people with spinal cord injuries deal with. Living with a disability that includes partially paralyzed lungs, I cannot get sick! I don't have the muscles to cough, and I had the flu once that almost beat me to the finish line. What about you? My vitamins, supplements, essential oils, and much more ''unconventional'' practices are responsible for keeping me healthy. Check out https://www.ablesocialnetwork.com/index.php/pages/2/

Thinking about these mass shootings that have seem to become some sort of horrific copycat crime, my thoughts go from the victims & their families, to the first responders and their families. Since my brother is an FDNY Captain, it’s fair to say I have a soft spot for firemen. I hope society recognizes every time a first responder goes to work, they stand a chance of putting their life on the line, and there doesn’t have to be a mass shooting or a 9/11. Putting themselves between you and danger is what they do. Period. They deserve recognition, support and respect all of the time, not just when an incident is newsworthy.
