Ridiculously excited to begin in-studio classes TODAY...the first time since March....in our brand new studio! This is a result of many months of preparation, research, and re-imagination to be able to offer a safe and comfortable space for our students to practice yoga and meditation. Please be patient as we ease back into our in-person classes. We have strict guidelines and are only allowing a small number of students in each class. Virtual classes will be continuing throu...ghout the winter, as well. So, this just happened. I met @grace.serra several years ago when she started taking classes at the studio. She was in 6th grade at the time. A few years later, she told me she thought she wanted to become a yoga teacher...she continued classes and stayed focused on that goal. Fast forward to January 2020...as a then-junior in High School, she joined the Young Mountain Yoga 95hr certification program and after several months of in-person and virtual training, TODAY was her ...final presentation where she led a virtual yoga class for four 6th grade students with such poise, confidence, and yes, grace. It was a full circle moment for Grace and an incredibly emotional experience for me to watch her teach so beautifully. Grace, you are such an inspiration and a wonderful yoga teacher! You followed your dreams and I am so honored to be a part of your incredible journey. Today, thanks to the incredible Shine Yoga Kids community of friends and family, we delivered SIXTY-FIVE gift cards to People to People’s Project Joy 2020. Our initial goal was to collect 25! We could not have done this alone and are so grateful to everyone who participated this year. Also, SO happy to report that two-thirds of these certificates are to small, local retail shops. COLLECTION CONTINUES! Shine Yoga Kids is collecting $25 gift cards (to various stores) to be donated to People to People’s Project Joy 2020. Gift cards will be passed along to families so they can purchase gifts for their children (infants through teens). If you feel inspired to donate, we would love your help!
