Centering Black reproductive justice & birthing families means to center the revolutionary act of love. It’s an act of joy in the face of pain and courage in the face of fear. Centering Intergenerational Hope is our cause as we reclaim, restore, and renew our ancestral technologies and ways of life. * * It’s standing firm in truth and rights!!! As we celebrate Black History Month we celebrate all of you. We celebrate our ancestors. We celebrate the hope of tomorrow while ac...tively shifting the tides of today. * * We are Black History. * * #blackhistorymonth #blackhistory #reproductivejustice #justice #birth #pregnancy #doula #fullspectrum #hope #love #blackfamily #blackcommunity See more

Expanding to new spaces. No, we aren’t leaving Brooklyn. * * We are happy to announce that next month we will be opening our first New Jersey location to be able to expand our reach to the community and Tri-State area. Our services will cover Northern and Central NJ. Currently, New Jersey has one of the highest mortality rates in a state where finding culturally centered care can be difficult and homebirth midwives of color are scarce. *... * Our hope is to build a strong base here as we continue to do in NYC. This space wouldn’t be possible without you our beautiful community. Help us to continue to push for anti-racist medical models of care, uplift community, center Hope and create systemic change on a state and federal level through policy change. How can you get involved: - Spread the word. - Mutual Aid through our Target Registry for baby essentials. - Reparations/ Donate funds that allow us to keep the work going and center Hope. Link in bio. - Share and repost. * * Will share updates posts once we have remixed the space. Wanna help us with the space DM us. More to come. * * #mutualaid #reparations #community #reproductivejustice #reproductivehealth #humanrights #equity #doula #hope #pregnancy #birth #postpartum #decolonizebirth #office #parenting See more

I'm sure many of you are riding the high of yesterdays inauguration and today its back to business and centering equity and accountability and our ancestral practices. Recently, a Senate Bill 2137 was introduced into the NY State Senate health committee for review on doula certification licensure. Back in June of 2019 we addressed this same identical bill that is being reintroduced by Senator Jessica Ramos who was one of the initial co-sponsors of the bill and refused to speak with the community on the previous bills. Please checkout our newsletter and how you can get involved and start making those calls.
