COVID VACCINE UPDATE, 2/7 As of this week, New York State has established guidelines that require Warren County Health Services to administer vaccines only to c...ertain essential worker groups in Phase 1B, and Warren County Health Services has been designated to vaccinate essential workers. New York State-run clinics have been designated for vaccine for the general public, and pharmacy supplies designated specifically for seniors. But please note that vaccine doses continue to be in short supply. Warren County Health Services was informed this week that the following pharmacies in the region are or will be receiving vaccine Kinney Drugs in Queensbury; Stone’s Pharmacy in Lake Luzerne; Hannaford in South Glens Falls; and Walgreens stores in Kingsbury and Hudson Falls. Please check pharmacy websites or find information as to their supplies by calling pharmacy locations. Warren County Health Services received 300 doses for first doses last week, with instructions from New York State as to which essential worker populations can receive them under Phase 1B. Clinics for child care workers, educators and first responders to get their first doses were arranged. As of Sunday morning, New York State-operated clinics in Plattsburgh and Potsdam listed available vaccination appointments for members of the public who are eligible. Check here: am-i-eligible.covid19vaccine.health.ny.gov/. 213 first doses and 369 second doses were administered in Warren County on Friday/Saturday. At least 10,802 total doses (first and second doses combined) have been administered in Warren County by Warren County Health Services, Hudson Headwaters Health Network, Glens Falls Hospital staff and pharmacies within Warren County as of Saturday morning. Please note this number includes doses administered in Warren County, not just to Warren County residents. Warren County has created an informational phone line for residents who want up-to-date information on COVID-19 vaccines distribution in Warren County, reachable at 518-761-6200. It will include details about clinics when they are scheduled. We ask that the public check in with this line and/or our Warren County online sites and social media regularly for updates as to when vaccine is available and clinics have been scheduled. New York State has also created a COVID informational phone line, which can be reached at 1-833-697-4829.
