Mayor Noble announces that trick-or-treating will not be cancelled, but urges caution when participating in Halloween activities. As in years past, there will b...e a curfew of 8:00pm on October 31, 2020. Suggestions for creative ways to celebrate safely: Host a virtual Halloween costume party with costumes and games Car parade to show off costumes while staying socially distanced Consider non-candy treats such as stickers, magnets, temporary tattoos, glow sticks, or other small toys Create a home or neighborhood scavenger hunt where kids find candy with each clue Decorate your house and have a neighborhood contest Carve pumpkins and try new creative decorating ideas Play Halloween-themed games Watch spooky movies Trick-or-treat room to room in your own home Please remember: Don’t trick-or-treat or leave candy out if you are sick or have been in contact with anyone who is sick If there is crowding at a home, or if treats are being directly handed out, skip that house and find a safer option Avoid any crowding in elevators, hallways or stairwells Trick-or-treat in small groups Gatherings & parties are discouraged, whether indoor or outdoor Ensure that your Halloween mask meets face covering guidance, or wear a cloth face mask that compliments your costume

With everyone spending more time than ever in front of screens, Kingston Parks and Rec is glad to offer a fun and free outdoor program.

On Tuesday, September 22 from 7-10am, the entrance to Kingston Point Beach will be closed for the installation of a gate. Access to the beach will be open durin...g this time, but vehicles will need to be parked in the lot across the street. As are all of our parks, Kingston Point Beach will be open from dawn to dusk. The gate will be locked when the beach is closed.

Dietz Stadium has an annual turf inspection on Friday, September 18. The turf will be closed to the public from 9:00am-2:00pm on Friday but the track and exterior can be utilized during that time.

While we don't expect everyone to throw this well we are excited to see everyone's throwing skills this Thursday, Sep. 17th for Kingston's First Disc Golf League. All skills levels are welcome. See you there!

The community fridge at 14 Van Buren, Beyond the 4 Walls is open The food is for everyone, please come and take what you need, and if you have anything extra to share, please put it in the fridge!

The DOT's contractor at the Roundabout project damaged the water main, causing a brief, but catastrophic, release of water. The situation is under control and ...the contractor is making repairs. However, the break is likely to cause rusty and turbid water in large parts of midtown and uptown Kingston. KWD crews are out flushing the system and hope to have things back to normal as soon as possible. See more

The City of Kingston congratulates the Kingston High School Class of 2020! Due to the KHS graduation ceremonies taking place this weekend, DIETZ STADIUM WILL B...E CLOSED from Thursday until Monday. The Dietz facilities, including the track, field, and bleachers will be prepared for the ceremonies to ensure a safe event for all. Good luck to all the graduates! Go tigers!
