So WEIRD coming into a quiet salon. It’s like where’s all the life? When you get so used to a fast-paced salon experience, it never quite feels right to come in and be the only one there. This morning we came in a bit earlier than usual because it’s the beginning of the week for us. It’s our time do a little bit of maintenance that may slip through the cracks during busy times later in the week. Unfortunately our effortless clean ambiance is not so effortless . Here’s ...a little peek into some of what we take the time to do before we see our beautiful clients. Some of these things include: -turning on what feels like 75 light switches (and inevitably forgetting some) -dusting all the displays -sweeping up all the hair we missed from Saturday’s cleaning (somehow there is always more to sweep up??) -mopping up after sweeping -spraying down everything else on the salon floor until it SHINES We don’t necessarily love cleaning, but we do LOVE working with clients in a beautiful salon! Always a price to pay for beauty Hopefully you all have begun your weeks off well! Now that we’re ready for you who will we be seeing for appointments? We can’t wait!

When Angelo first started the salon in 1992 he was just a one-man operation essentially, wearing many hats, as business owners often do. Today he STILL has many creative and administrative roles in the business, but now we are a team of over 2...0! Angelo has actually stated that his two proudest accomplishments are 1) opening a salon on the historic and beautiful Madison Ave NYC, and 2) Having the lovely and amazing clientele to support the salon and our growing team. He was warm, friendly, and took the time to listen to my concerns about my hair. We made an appointment and I went in this past Monday. They've t...aken every precaution regarding Covid- taking your temperature, everyone was wearing masks, there was only one other client in the salon, and we were seated very far apart. I had a consultation with Carlos who then consulted with the stylist - Rita- to make sure we were all on the same page regarding my haircut and my color.
