Save Amazon rainforest from fires - Over the last 10 years, the Anne Fontaine Foundation has been acting and expressing its support for the protection of the Brazilian Rainforest. A Native of Brazil, I am a French designer living in New York. I am very sensitive to the global dimensions of the ecological crisis that my native country is currently enduring. The G7 Summit, organized by France, is a forum to draw the attention of the world to the current disaster and to evoke th...e Brazilian authorities of their duties to action and prevention. Man is not defenseless against fire, but the forest cannot protect itself from those who are self-consumed by the financial, electoral, and populist appetite, who consider the Amazonian eco-system only as a short-term exploitable resource. I bring my full support to France, which today is delivering a strong statement in favor of this Brazilian and universal heritage. Anne Fontaine

Come check out our Trees in Focus photography book at l’Espace Krajcberg in Paris for the first edition of Rencontres Littéraires et Artistiques Art and Nature. Presented by l’Espace Krajcberg and ë projects, the event will be open to the public from 2-7pm and will feature authors as well as artists’ video screenings. Each work at the event will relate art and nature in some way; Trees in Focus, published by Assouline in association with the Anne Fontaine Foundation, brings... together 40 photos around the theme of trees alongside comments and biographies from the respective artists. Made entirely of recycled paper, this volume was published for the Objectif Arbres exposition. All proceeds from book sales will go directly to the Anne Fontaine Foundation, with the funds from each book sold going to plant ten trees. Under the patronage of French Ambassador to the United States Gérard Araud and presented by artist and photographer Pascal Blondeau, the Green Attitude Gala took place on March 21, 2019 at the Maison Française at the French Embassy in Washington, DC to benefit the Anne Fontaine Foundation. Featuring a performance from the Washington Ballet, a gourmet dinner from chefs Zoé Deleu, Mark Courseille and Patrick Orange, an auction hosted by Annie Totah, and speeches from Ambassador Araud and Anne Fontaine, it was an incredible night!
