Despite high unemployment numbers caused by COVID-19, single-family rentals (SFRs) grew 3.8% year-over-year, according to a John Burns Real Estate Consulting survey. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have announced their 2021 multifamily loan purchase caps will each be $70 billion. That makes a combined total of $140 billion to support the multifamily market.
