The Archbishop Awards Family is bereaved once again. On December 28, 2020, the 2014 Archbishop Michael K. Francis Achievement Awards Recipient Mark Carlton Carr passed away peacefully after a period of illness. Besides being one of our finest honorees, Carlton was a lifetime supporter of both the Cathedral School Alumni Association (CSAA) and the Cathedral School Educational Foundation, a staunch member of the CSAA New York Metro Chapter, and a wonderful and kind friend and brother. He will be missed dearly but never forgotten. Sincere condolences to his wife Mardea, children and family. Rest in peace, Carlton.
As God has seen fit to call our brother and friend Jeremiah Nabwe to his Heavenly reward, we the members of the Archbishop Michael K. Francis Achievement Awards Committee extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends on his Home Going. Jeremiah is a 2018 Honoree for acumen in Finance. Also, as a founding member and former National President of the Cathedral School Alumni Association, he could always be depended on for support of our many efforts whenever and in extraordinary fashion. We shall miss his drive, his dry sense of humor and that "we can accomplish anything" way of being. So we say well done thy good and faithful servant, well done. RIP Jehjeh!
August 3, 2020 - The coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) has meant that it’s now vital to limit social contact and avoid gatherings. The Archbishop Awards Planning Committee therefore feel that it is our responsibility to help flatten the coronavirus curve and keep you safe. For that reason, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel this year's Annual Archbishop Michael K. Francis Achievement Awards. While we know this is disappointing, we hope you can understand the steps we’re taking to help keep everyone involved safe. We’d also like to thank each and every one of you for supporting the Annual Archbishop Michael K. Francis Achievement Awards, even in the midst of this difficult period. Please stay safe and do contact us if you have any concerns or questions.
Schools in Liberia have been shut down due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. But recently the seniors have been allowed, with guidelines, to return in order to prepare for WASSCE (West African Senior School Certificate Examination). Here are the seniors at Cathedral Catholic School (primary beneficiary of the Archbishop Michael K. Francis Achievement Awards) back at work. We pray for the safety of seniors and staff, as well as you and your family.
