TPLO or Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy is one of the most common surgeries performed here at the Animal Surgical Center. This procedure is recommended when your pet tears their cranial cruciate ligament, which is also commonly referred to as your pets ACL. Savannah was hit by a car and needs our help. She has several fractures including her pelvis and ribs. We need your help to save her life. Savannah was broug...ht in to a local vet by her owners who claimed they never wanted her in the first place and have never gotten her any vet care. They wanted to be rid of her. This little love was in such severe pain. She is being stabilized at our vet partner here in Syracuse. She is getting IV fluids , pain management and blood work. She cannot go to the bathroom on her own right now because of all the swelling she has. Our rescue has been asked to help otherwise she would be euthanized. Her injuries are extensive and without specialty care she has no chance. We reached out to our vet partner specialist Dr Infernuso at Animal Surgical Center . He has reviewed her X-rays and is planning life saving surgical intervention Tomorrow to stabilize her fractures. She’s just a baby. She can’t be much more than 2 years old. We have to help her. She’s never been wanted or loved in her life and she deserves to know all people are not selfish and heartless. She deserves a chance at knowing what it’s like to be loved and wanted. We have some exciting new to share with all of you!!! We're growing!! In December, ASC will be opening up a second location in Astoria, NY!! Dr. Infernuso will be preforming surgery there a couple days a week while we continue the hunt for more excellent surgeons. We look forward to building and spreading the ASC mission and culture with you!! Save as many lives as possible!!

Rehabilitation is an important part of post operative care. We are lucky enough to have Eileen on our team as our Physical Therapist. Her knowledge, compassion and expertise have helped many animals on their path to full recovery.
