Mary Trueman was born on this day in 1915. She passed away in 2008 from health complications but leaves behind a true legacy in her devoted students whom she encouraged and worked tirelessly to help cultivate and deep appreciation for the art song repertoire. It is for these reasons that Mary Trueman is the motivating force and inspiration behind The Art Song Preservation Society of New York. Sending her a Happy Birthday in whatever heavenly realm her spirit resides. I have ...no doubt that it is filled with exquisite music (Sept 30, 1915-Oct 15, 2008). www.artsongpreservationsocietyny.org/about-mary-trueman.html #marytruemanartsong #marytrueman #artsongpreservationsociety #apsnyfestival #apsny_music #prestonlancashire #countylancashire #royalacademyofmusic #shephardschoolofmusic #riceuniversitymusic #texassouthernunivetsity #operaamerica #birminghamschoolofmusic #samhoustonstateuniversity #artsong #frenchmélodie #germanlied See more
