Our founder, Servant of God Father Paul Wattson, SA, was a fervent believer in the power of prayer, and we carry on that tradition through our Ministry of Prayer. Send us your intentions today and let the Friars pray with you. https://bit.ly/2P6PSsm

In his homily for the fourth week of Lent, Father Bob talks about God's love for the world, the gift He has given humanity in the person of Jesus Christ and how we, as Christians, are called to be other Christs and to continue Jesus's good works while we walk this Earth.

"When we celebrate Saint Patrick, we celebrate a great hero of the church who was willing to sacrifice everything he had in life to help people find the truth and help people build a community of love. Happy Saint Patrick's Day to all of you." Father Jim Loughran, SA, Vicar General of the Friars of the Atonement, in his homily for Saint Patrick's Day

In his latest reflection, Father Bob talks about how Jesus put the commandments to love God and our neighbor above all others and ultimately told us to love each other as He has loved us. In God, the source of all love, we find healing, redemption and salvation.

All Souls Day is a time to remember the faithfully departed. We ask that those who have gone before us be eternally blessed, and we hope to be reunited with them in everlasting glory through Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Friars will be praying for the souls of the deceased throughout November. To send the names of your dearly departed family, friends and loved ones so that they may pray for them, please visit https://bit.ly/381XT9C.

"It's a marvelous thing that we can know that the people who are now in heaven are praying for us. They helped us while they were alive, and they're helping us now in heaven as saints who have not been named except in our experiences. They're named by their baptism, and we remember their names...Will they ever be canonized? That's not important. What's important is that we have heard the word of God and experienced the word put into practice by these marvelous people who then inspire you and me to put it into practice ourselves..." Father Dan Callahan, SA, Guardian of the Friars Homily for All Saints Day, 2020

On this day, October 30th, in 1909, the 17 members of the Society of the Atonement, an Anglican Franciscan community that included founders Father Paul Wattson and Mother Lurana White, were received corporately into the Catholic Church by Pope Saint Pius X. May God continue to bless the Friars and Sisters of the Atonement, their collaborators and benefactors, family and friends, and all who support them.

"We have a long tradition at Graymoor and in the whole church of appealing to St. Jude for those situations which seem impossible. And St. Jude often has a powerfully intercessory ability to get those impossible problems straightened out. It's amazing. We call it miracles. Why shouldn't we believe in miracles? After all, miracles are part of the basis of our faith, our trust in the message." Father Jim Loughran, SA, Vicar General

In today's Gospel, Jesus says the two greatest commandments are to love God with all your heart, soul and mind and to love your neighbor as yourself. "Yes, this is good news. You and I were made for love. We were made to love. We were made because God loves us so much that He wants us to love one another as He loves us and, yes, to love God Himself as He loves us. It's a marvelous challenge. It's a fabulous gift." Father Dan Callahan, SA

After a series of sharp rebukes from Jesus, the Pharisees try to entrap Him by asking if it is lawful to pay tax to Caesar. Father Bob tells how Jesus frustrates them with His reply and leaves a lesson for the ages. Watch and listen below or read here: https://bit.ly/2HjUEQ1.
