Laura Matalon - Press Agent / Chief Marketing Officer, @HamiltonMusical On being a press agent and marketing director: I had no idea when I was in school that there were non-performing opportunities in the theater. Were it not for a childhood friend working for a presenting organization who regularly took me as his date to opening nights, I don’t know that I would have found what has become a career people only dream about. Sometimes I still pinch myself - I feel so lucky!... On what keeps her going: I’m constantly learning new things. That’s what keeps the job fresh and exciting. And more often than not I’m learning from the young people I’ve had the honor and pleasure of working with and mentoring over the years. #WomensHistoryMonth #IATSEWomenUp #IATSEWomen #IATSE

Kim Shaw - Company Manager On being a manager: I saw my first Broadway show at 4 years old and working on Broadway was all that I ever wanted to do. So being a company manager, especially as a Black woman, on Broadway is an honor and a privilege.... On what keeps her going: Knowing that there were so many shows with diverse companies that did not have a member of management who looked like them has been the motivation to continue in the business over the years and it keep me around even during challenging times. #WomensHistoryMonth #IATSEWomenUp #IATSEWomen #IATSE

Danielle Vargas, House Manager - Cort Theatre On being a house manager: Being a house manager on Broadway was a desire, and is a dream - it has been an amazing ride. Being one of many female house managers within the Shubert Organization, we are all one with each other, and are NEVER treated differently from our male colleagues. This makes working on Broadway the best - we are in a powerful time, and we are all powerful.... On being a working mom: During the shutdown, homeschooling while working has been a task in and of itself, and honestly, I’d rather deal with patrons than try to wrangle four kids on a strict school schedule - but we can do it, and will make it through, because remember it’s only intermission! You're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. -A.A. Milne #WomensHistoryMonth #IATSEWomenUp #IATSEWomen #ATPAM

The livelihoods of hardworking New Yorkers in the Entertainment Industry have been impacted like few others by the pandemic. The last thing they can afford is to lose their health care too. Please write to your representatives - http://bit.ly/COBRAsubsidy.
