Social networks must band together to defend and uphold their right -- indeed their duty -- to take down false and threatening posts that could cause the American people real harm. https://www.cnn.com//trumps-executive-order-soc/index.html

Yes, please! One of my favorite quotes, usually attributed to Darwin is, "It is not the strongest or the most intelligent who will survive but those who can best manage change." During these times we must think of new ways to live, adapt and evolve. We must ensure that New York's hospitality industry survives and thrives because it is the glue that keeps this wonderful city together. https://www.nytimes.com///coronavirus-ny-live-updates.html

As a social media attorney and advisor this really bothers me. All Constitutional rights have limits including Free Speech. Just as screaming "Fire!" in a crowded room is dangerous and not subject to the protections of the 1st Amendment, false and misleading information must also be regulated. Trump's attempt to target social media platforms when they do not suit him, is in my opinion, retaliatory and not in line with the principles upon which this country was founded. Influencers' comments and posts are subject to review and regulation regardless of whether they are the latest beauty blogger or a past or current President of the United States. https://www.cnn.com//donald-trump-twitter-threa/index.html

This is so sad/devastating for the industry that raised me, put me through school and feeds my family. I don’t have the answers, wish I did. Praying for the best and sending love and strength to those who are going through a hard time. Newton Duarte https://www.google.com//nyc-bars-restaurants-coronavirus.a

Friends, it is important to be legally proactive these days. Do not wait for a demand letter or lawsuit before you act. While the "Pause" executive order prohibits landlords from pursuing eviction there is no clear direction on what will happen when the moratorium is lifted. I can tell you the courts are already opening back up. A lot of times your landlord, creditors, business partners, etc. are just looking for respect, a response and a plan. Call them (or have your counsel call them) and try to work something out before you become overwhelmed by the situation. The "Ostrich Head in the Sand" approach is never the right one. It will end of costing you time, energy and money. Good article explaining risks and options. https://cfda.com/news/rent-and-lease-challenges-explained
