Thank you to everyone who bought birdseed through Audubon's Birdseed Sale! Your seed is waiting to be picked up at ACNC today. If you missed the sale, Audubon's Conewango Blend is still available at Audubon and other local stores in Warren and Chautauqua Counties.
"Much of the time we go about our day relegating most sounds to background noise, which makes absolute sense. If you were fully aware of every noise all the time, you would be constantly overwhelmed, but if you never stop to be fully present and really focus on listening to all of the sounds around you every now and again, you’ll probably also miss a lot of really cool things going on around you. Take some time to listen. See how the sounds cycle through the days and seasons and remember that although sight is a wonderful observation tool, it’s not the only option." "Introducing someone to the outdoors, like introducing someone to anything you love, is both a rewarding and somewhat self-serving endeavor. Scientists and writers alike have waxed lyrical about the benefits of being outdoors, but pulling people into any outdoor activity also guarantees you more options when it comes time to look for an adventure buddy. In my mind that can only be a good thing." Read more from Chelsea at https://auduboncnc.org/the-outdoorsy-friend-by-chelsea-jan/
