This video is not only a complement to our NYC 'How To...' | Removing NYC TLC Plates From Storage (FHV License Storage), but also overviews the different options and steps NYC TLC vehicle owners have to take in order to renew their New York State DMV registration. Recently, the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has not allowed for-hire vehicle owners to renew their registration online. This new rule came into effect in early October 2020 and has caused a lot o...f confusion among NYC TLC drivers and fleets. In this video we overview several ways NYC TLC vehicle owners can renew their DMV registration and if applicable how to fill out the NY DMV MV-82 form. We hope you find this video helpful and let us know any questions in the comments below. Need Same Day NY DMV Services? Please e-mail [email protected] https://youtu.be/oUCTMSskprw

As promised, the follow-up to our NYC 'How To...' | Storing NYC TLC Plates video (https://youtu.be/Zlrh90SN2gM). As previously mentioned, storing your TLC plates (aka FHV License) can only be done once and for a maximum of 180 days. Some NYC drivers and fleets avoid putting their plates into storage due to fears around the process of removing TLC plates from storage. We hope this video addresses those concerns. If you are not driving right now and don't plan to for at least ...3 months we recommend you put your plates into storage to save money on insurance (i.e. 6 months of a single TLC Liability policy is likely to add up to over $2,000!). The following video walks through the steps of removing TLC plates (aka FHV License) from storage. We hope you find the video helpful and let us know any questions in the video's comment section. https://youtu.be/H2Ad-tOS6I4
