Little Sunday morning project!
Been steadily mounting pieces and plugging away at deer and a few more bears. Last picture is a giant yak, so big I’ll be caping/fleshing him on the floor tomorrow, fun getting in cool animals like him!!
Fleshed and salted this today. Don’t get them in much at all. Any guesses what it is?
Been mounting animals steady the last few weeks. Got a bunch of bears put together and have started making a dent in this pile of deer forms!
Another awesome trip to Finger Lakes Hunting Preserve in the books!! We had the pleasure of spending this trip with our very good friends the Solon family and we all had a blast, pictures say it all!! Thanks as always to Coty, Mike, and Amanda!!!
Mounted up the other life size fallow buck the last two days. Bears are still coming in strong along with some early season deer. Good luck to all the youth rifle hunters this weekend!! Have fun!!
Fallow deer day two. Just some minor adjustments and let him dry. Next week we’ll do a laying down chocolate phase one to put in front of him!!
Life size fallow deer day one. Form all prepped and got him all sewed up. Finish the face and some grooming tomorrow!!
Hard to believe bear season opens tomorrow. Give us a call if your successful in harvesting one this season. From rugs, shoulder mounts, 1/2 life size mounts, and life size mounts we do them all. Also again this year we will skin your bear for you here, and know of a couple of butchers if needed. Good luck everyone!!!
Last couple loads of animals from the hunting preserve. You know fall is in the air when elk, red deer and fallow bucks are coming into the shop. Bear season is just around the corner!!
Alexa with her supposed to be competition piece this year. My father wanted her to remount his big buck shot in 1978. She did a great job!!!
Finished Parker’s 4-horn Jacob sheep recently. It was supposed to be my competition piece, he’s pretty happy how it turned out!!
Put this little guy together yesterday, fall can’t come quick enough!!
Got another batch of animals from the preserve this week, some corsicans, merinos, and a nilgai. With the kids help we’re still going at it strong!!
Still going strong!!! With school finished up I hired two part time workers, getting more done with their help every day!
Going full tilt on deer lately. Couple more then going to switch it up with a few bears and mammals, then back to deer. Starting on deer in the 100’s!!
Two of my helpers yesterday. One actually helping me a lot, the other helping get in the way!!! Love having them both in the shop!!
Still at it steady. Deer are the priority right now, another 30 forms in the shop waiting to be mounted up!!
