They are wanted for questioning in a series of larcenies that have taken place at Target stores throughout the Capital District and are believed to be using the vehicle pictured below. Next we would like to introduce you to our 2nd Lieutenant Brody Trask. Brody joined BLFD in 2018. He is currently an EMT as well as a paramedic student. And Brody works as an Emergency vehicle technician at Vander Molen. Thank you Brody for your dedication to the community.

Route 50 has opened back up.

Next we introduce you to our Deputy Chief Tyler Farrar. Tyler has been a resident of Ballston Lake for the past 30 years. He Joined the Ballston Lake Fire Department in 2006 following in his father, Past Chief Douglas Farrar’s, footsteps. He has previously held the offices of 4th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st lieutenant as well as Captain. Tyler is a proud Army National Guard member and prior to that was an active duty Marine. And Tyler is currently a Deputy Sheriff with the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. Thank you Tyler for your devotion to BLFD.

Old Man Winter has arrived with a vengeance in Saratoga County dumping feet of snow in areas. We are requesting that those who can stay home please do so. It... is going to take some time to clear the roads and it could be difficult to get help to you as well. Your Sheriffs Office has 4-wheel drive vehicles and will be out on the roads to assist motorists. Help us by staying home. See more
