Award-winning author Michael Sadowski will talk with Domenica Ruta about his new memoir, Men I’ve Never Been in which he recounts his odyssey as a boy who shuns his own identityand, ultimately, his sexual orientationin order to become who he thinks he’s supposed to be. Michael Sadowski is Interim Dean of Graduate Studies; Director of Inclusive Pedagogy and Curriculum; Associate Professor, Bard MAT. He is the author of the acclaimed books, In a Queer Voice, Safe Is Not Enough, and Adolescents at School.

Short Story Tableaus. BardMAT students in the graduate Language and Literacy course represent their interpretation of a short story using multiple levels, multiple characters (alter egos, included), and props, in a Tableau. Students photograph their Tableau, return to the classroom, project the photograph, and use it to explain, or justify, their view of the story.
