BareBones and Bugs 05.01.2021

As we are now in deer season I want to wish all my fellow hunters Good Luck and have a safe hunting season. ( Please wear your safety harnesses.) Also I have a few new dip patterns for European mounts available in which I think will be popular as well as some new wood slabs to mount your deer on. If you want your harvest photo preserved on a wood slab slice I can do that also. See what I’m speaking of in photos. Good Luck Everyone and Thank You for your business.

I am also offering these as a way to display your European mount. They are what I call flares, a uncommon slice of lumber from when a log is milled. A ton of sanding is required on these to make smooth and for the grain to be displayed nicely. I only have a limited supply of these.

This is a idea I have had for a couple years and I will be offering it this year to whoever may be interested. Just send a photo through email or text and I’ll do the rest. The slab slice of lumber is totally sealed and photo is covered with a super thick clear resin epoxy, similar to a bar top coating. I have not settled on a price yet as I’m still mastering the process.

A few new dip patterns this year, here are a couple of them. I believe they will be popular. Also, I’m working on something new this year involving photos/pictures. I will post what I’m offering this year soon. I believe you’ll like it.

I thought this is interesting and wanted to share it. This is a customers deer I completed. But what is interesting is that this deer is 7 1/2 years old !! By judging the antlers most would guess 2 1/2 or 3 1/2 yrs old. But when I skinned the deer I noticed the extreme tooth wear on the lower jaw. I compared the jaw with a common 3 1/2 yr old as seen in the photo. Just goes to show that the size of the antlers don’t always determine the age.
