We have a week until our Howl-a-ween party! We are holding a costume contest that is open to everyone! Not just the daycare kiddos! We will be taking pictures of the daycare pups in their costumes at the party, but if you wish to participate, please send us a good picture of your pup in their costume so that we may add them to the album! The contest will go until 11/1, and which ever picture has the most Likes on Facebook* will be our winner! Our prize this time is a Hair Dry...er Slicker Brush, a long pin Tougher than Tangles slicker brush, and a trial size of Quicker Slicker detangling spray! I cannot explain to you all how much the outpouring of messages of love and positive vibes means to me. Many of you have reached out asking if there is anything you can do to help me, but my main concern is your pups and keeping the business up and running for your pups! In order to take better care of my health, I have to restrict the number of dogs I groom a day, which reflects in sales as I’m sure you can imagine. In order to make up for losses, I am doing something I’ve n...ever done before: selling my art. I painted these portraits of our original daycare kiddos, and many people have asked if I do commissions...well, now I do! I wouldn’t normally be so open about the things happening in my life with my clients, but seeing as my health is affecting appointments a lot recently, I thought I’d give some insight on what’s going on, as much as I know at least for the last year I have been having sharp pains in my abdomen on an off in the same exact spot. Beginning in about May, the pain got worse, especially after eating and this time wouldn’t go away. Anything I ate either came back up, or caused excr...uciating pain. I stopped eating because being hungry was better than being in pain, but the pains still there. I have lost 40 pounds since May, and not in a good way. I am weak, I am exhausted, I am starving. After many doctors visits and tests and demanding answers, they have found an unidentifiable mass in my abdomen where my pain is coming from..always a good sign right.. I am meeting with a surgeon Monday to talk my options, still no clue what the mass is.. With that being said, my health is causing many issues for grooming. My strength, vision, and dexterity are suffering from lack of food, or maybe something deeper? But I am trying my hardest to keep the same quality and experience you and your pups are used to getting. I will be restricting the number of dogs I take for now, and grooms will be taking longer than usual in order for me to comfortably and safely groom your pups. I am so thankful for everyone who has already been so understanding with this. No one is more frustrated than me having to reschedule dogs. I am trying to get better by holiday season, because we know that’s crazy time! I want to take care of all of your kids, but in order to do so I need to be healthy-ish too!
