Everybody can be greatbecause anybody can serve... You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love. Inspired by Dr. King this #MartinLutherKingJr Day, we've compiled links of ways to serve today in his honor. Whether you can donate time, talents or financial resources, join the theatre community in giving back to honor Dr. King's memory: https://linktr.ee/bcefa

Watch birthday boy Lin-Manuel Miranda spit rhymes with future Burr Wayne Brady in one of our favorite videos. Do you think LMM takes the (birthday) cake?

Broadway lost one of its titans today. Philip J. Smith spent his life in theatre and we're all better because of it. Phil was instrumental in the creation of Broadway Cares in 1988 and served 28 years as a trustee of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Phil’s wise counsel and presence in those early days along with that of Bernard B. Jacobs and Gerald Schoenfeld - brought the approval and public support of The Shubert Organization to our fledgling organization. That gave us ...legitimacy that allowed us to grow from a collection of scrappy, grassroots efforts to the well-respected fundraising and grant-making organizations we are today. Phil's dedicated service as a trustee has ensured that untold hundreds of thousands of people in need have received meals, medication health care and more. On Broadway and beyond. Happy trails, Phil. Thank you for leaving us with such a generous legacy of good will. https://nyti.ms/3bFvsA8

This past year has tested in countless ways. But when theater went dark, you became our light. You rallied around artists and made an art a priority in troubled times. Together, we reimagined theater. And in doing so, you provided emergency assistance, healthy meals and hope. Thank you. Let's keep making a difference together.
