Beaver River Fish & Game Club

Club meeting tonight at 7:30.

We will be at the club tonight from 5 p.m.- till? to sell memberships to those of you who would like to utilize our ranges for the upcoming hunting season.

Last event of the season is this Sunday.

We will be having the Soper Sporting Clay Shoot on September 27th. Will have a poster done this week with details!

This is a message that we received from Ron Kampnich. Ron recently arranged a bachelor party and used the Fish and Game to shoot trap with the group. We are delighted to hear this and look forward to seeing them again. This is what this club strives for, getting people involved in the sport and having fun. Thank you for the kind words Ron. Please share with all who contributed; A big thank you to all you folks there at the fish and game! I was the best man in charge of plann...ing out the bachelor party for my nephew, coming from far out of state. The other groomsmen suggested sorted ideas, everything from golf, to dancing girls, to bar hopping... I tried to explain that Albany no longer aloud most types of fun, but I’d come up with something... After much thought, and speaking with you all, I figured shooting trap would be allot of fun for all involved. Most of the wedding party had pistol permits, the one feller from Florida never hunted, but was a corrections officer and had shot pistol and shot gun at the range. Another feller was a nurse and played allot of video games, but had never shot a real gun... he was my favorite, an all around nice guy I had zero in common with. Roger Turk went over all the safety information first, and the five of us went up to shoot trap, a first for every one of us. Out of the first 25 birds most guys had got between 5 n 9... the video game playin feller, Matt, got 0. The second time up we all improved a little, and matt got 5. The third time up he got 13 and was pumped! All of us were having a blast! There was just the right amount of competitive spirit between us. The video game feller, Matt, and a couple others sat one out as there shoulders were getting bruised pretty fare. Matt said this is the most fun he’s had in years, you could see how happy he was with his improvement! The groom and I were in love with this new sport and shot again. Roger announced we’d only be able to do a couple more so everyone gave it another chance. Everyone had an amazing time! Roger did a great job of making sure we all stayed on track with safety and club rules! It ended up being the perfect bachelor party! Thank you for making a memorable experience for all of us! Side note, Matt the video game playing nurse who had never shot a gun nor really had an interest, messaged to say he purchased a single shot 12 and is joining the Brownsville fish and game club! He clearly had an amazing experience! The groom just finished up his honeymoon and said he found a shooting range near him. He’s going this coming week to find out if they do trap shooting. On behalf of the club we would like to thank everyone who came out to our Sportsman Shoot yesterday. We had a great turn out and a ton of fun! Videos will be posted as well.

Today is the big day! Just a reminder that we will be having a jerked pork dinner available for $10. Just the pork is $6. Even if your not shooting come on out for lunch. Pork will be ready at 11 a.m.! We will also have 5-stand set up on our lower trap field. We look forward to seeing everyone

After the event we also would like to let everyone know that we will have 5-Stand set up on our lower trap field. If you have not yet registered your team please try to get them mailed to Tom Monnat this week. You may also register the morning of the shoot but pre-registration is preferred. We thank everyone for their continued support and look forward to having a fun filled day at the club.

This thursday September 10th is our last NTTL shoot of the year. We will be having a little trap picnic thursday night. Meat has been taken care of. If you would like to bring a dish to pass you are more than welcome to.
