Belleville Fire Department

Last night our members started familiarization training with our new air packs. Members worked in pairs mesuring air used with while performing task. Members are seen operating scene lights, and also did work with hose, gas meters and commonly used tools and even a friendly push up competition. The new air packs give firefighters more flexibility, comfort and life saving features while being lighter than our previously outdated packs. Everyone from our chiefs to our newest members got in on the training.

Happy New Year! Today some of our member celebrated the New Year by training on our new MSA G1 air packs! We may have celebrated new air packs more than the new year! Thank you to John Christman from Jerome Fire Equipment for your help through this process and for giving up part of you holiday to train us! Thank you to our community for all you continued support! This new equipment wouldn’t be possible with out community support and grant funding. Thank you to Adams Fire Department for spear heading the grant process!

The food pantry was a great success! Many families received much needed food. For questions or information about upcoming dates and locations, please go to www.bhpanthers.org - Belleville Henderson School's website. Please note that this is NOT a fire department event and we are not able to answer questions here on Facebook.

Urban Mission Belleville Henderson School food pantry will be open tomorrow (Saturday) from 12 to 5 at the Belleville Fire Hall. We are hoping to have a site in Henderson sometime next week too. Just to clarify- this is NOT put on by the fire department, it is organized by the school and set up through the Urban Mission in Watertown. We are just providing the food storage. Some of our department members are also school employees and are volunteering in that capacity. If yo...u have bags, please bring them. No one will be allowed inside the firehall for this event. Runners will bring items to your car. Future dates and locations to be announced soon!
