BIS is extremely thankful this year for each and every one of you. We have all been through a lot so far this year but we couldn’t have gotten this far without the love and support from all of you. Even though this year will much different, and the gatherings maybe smaller, be thankful for the ones sitting right there with you as you gather around the table today. From our family to yours Happy Thanksgiving, please continue to stay strong, stay safe and enjoy the little things in life.

Just for all the confusion we are still going to continue to stay open. We are a low contact business with little to no contact. we ask that everyone MUST WEAR A MASK AND REMOVE ALL COLLARS/HARNESSES & LEASHES. We will continue to do curbside drop off and pick up and continue to use our own leashes that will be sanitized between each and every dog. Everyone PLEASE STAY SAFE and if ANYONE is experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms please call and reschedule your appointment.

PLEASE READ AND PASS ALONG It has been brought to our attention that several other daycare facilities in the surrounding areas have been dealing with a high number of kennel cough cases. We strongly recommend the vaccine but unfortunately it may not always prevent kennel cough since it comes in different forms. (Kind of like the flu) We STRONGLY ask that if your pet has any of the following symptoms you keep them home and call us to reschedule your appointment. Kennel Cough... Symptoms - Strong cough, often with a honking sound - Runny Nose - Sneezing - Lethargy - Loss of Appetite - Low Fever Your pet is our #1 priority and keeping them safe during their time with us is most important. We will continue to boost up our cleaning and sanitizing during these CRAZY times we are all enduring but also to make sure your pets health is in good hands.

BIS is currently accepting applications and looking for an experienced groomer. Previous experience is a must and must be available some evenings and Saturday’s. Please call to apply or stop in for an application.

ATTENTION ATTENTION BIS IS NOW OPEN!!! As we are eager to get back to making EVERYONES four legged family members looking their BEST again we also have some new STRICT POLICIES we ask all of you to gladly follow as we move along during this opening phase. FOR THE SAFETY OF EVERYONE WE ARE ASKING THAT ONLY STAFF MEMBERS BE ALLOWED INSIDE THE BUILDING. I am terribly sorry if this causes any issues or inconveniences. We are just trying to continue to be safe and help keep ev...eryone healthy. ALL SERVICES will be done as a curb side drop off and pick up until further notice.You can pull in front of the shop and someone will be out momentarily to bring your pet inside for their appointment. We will NOT be accepting anyone’s collars, harnesses or leashes at this time. We will be using our own slip leads to bring your pets in and out so they can immediately be sanitized. We will be wearing masks to get your pet and also to bring them back out and we kindly ask that YOU will do the same. It’s not only for your protection but also for ours. We currently will ONLY be accepting EXACT CASH or CREDIT CARD over the phone for any service until further notice. If you would like to leave gratuity for any service please let us know while your card info is being taken, we can not run your card multiple times. Please try and let us know if you would also like to make a follow up appointment when we call to let you know your pet is almost ready in case we forget to ask. We are so excited to be back and having the chance to see everyone we missed. If anyone has any issues please just let us know and we can address them. We hope that everyone has continued to stay safe and healthy and looking forward to seeing you soon.

BIS UPDATE AS OF MAY 11 BIS is hoping for a re-opening date soon. We will continue to comply with the PAUSE order until further notice. We were extremely hopeful that it would be May 15 but with WNY being a little behind, that date currently isn’t looking positive for us. We continue hoping that this area will have a turn around soon so we can get back to making all of our 4 legged friends beautiful again. We fully understand there are other groomers currently operating but w...ith respect to the PAUSE order and also the Empire State Development which currently still finds groomers as Non-Essential, we will continue to wait until it’s safe for all of you, the community and us as well. We don’t want to rush things and have a set back and have to be pushed back even further. We EAGERLY have our scissors in our hands and clippers running waiting for the go ahead to get back to what we love and have missed so dearly. We appreciated ALL of your patience and understanding. We are trying to do whats right and what is being asked of us during this time. We wish nothing more than to have everyone stay safe & healthy. Can’t wait to see you all soon!

Hello everyone! I just wanted to give everyone an update, as we’re heading into May. As of now, the information that we have is what you’ve seen on the news in regards to the NY PAUSE act. May 15 is still the date we’re looking at unless it gets pushed out again. ( it doesn’t) As soon as we have any news about non- essentials re-opening in this area, BIS will be scheduling appointments again. In regards to the many questions and inquiries we get about opening on a daily bas...is: We have been staying in formed as much as possible through the news and through professional grooming organizations including the New York State professional groomers association and others on a more national level. Rest assured, I have been in touch with government officials and at this time grooming still falls under the non-essential category, despite many, many, many attempts on every level to have it changed. Unfortunately, there are a handful of Groomers across the state that have decided to continue to operate against this mandate, causing confusion for pet owners, risking themselves and their own Clientele, as well as the clientele of other grooming salons. Despite their own personal justification for operating against the New York state mandate every government official and and professional grooming organization has made it perfectly clear that grooming unless medically necessary is still considered non-essential. No Groomers should be operating at this time regardless of their set up. Your dog is overgrown and messy and our business has come to a screeching halt! No income. No growth. No nothing. We miss our passion! We miss all of you! BIS Sincerely appreciates all of your patience and well wishes and willingness to wait this out. Keeping yourself safe, and keeping others safe. We need to remember during the inconveniences and in the frustrations that’s what this PAUSE is all about. These are truly unprecedented times. Our world has drastically changed. GOOD AFTERNOON EVERYONE THIS IS JUST A CURRENT UPDATE. BIS IS STILL CURRENTLY CLOSED DUE TO NY PAUSE UNTIL ATLEAST MAY 15. We have been getting many inquiries about other Groom shops being open and why aren’t we? I have currently sent an inquiry to the Empire State Development about becoming essential. Unfortunately they still consider dog grooming to be NON-ESSENTIAL. The current groom shops that have been granted deemed to be opened are ONLY supposed to be doing MEDICAL gr...ooming. Which means, that if your dog is so severely matted that it can only be shaved down from head to toe because of health/medical reasons then they are the ones that can groom them right now, NOT every day cosmetic grooming. BIS at this time has to follow and respect the ESD’s decision (whether we agree or not) until further notice. We are all very anxious about getting back and trying to get back to a new normal but the health and safety of you, BIS staff, and others are what is most important currently. Our amazing friend Kelly from smooches and pooches LLC in Clarence has started this petition we wanted it to get shared with all of you to sign as well. Kelly & myself have requested many times to the Governor to become essential and we only get denied, so maybe we just have to keep fighting. Please sign and share with all your family, friends, neighbors anybody that has a pet and understands how truly important DOG GROOMING is to their health. Together we will get through this!

We don’t encourage home grooming but if you must this might be something to check out! Jay Scruggs is an amazing groomer and definitely someone who we all grew up watching and learning from so why not check out this video and maybe he can also help you guys with any home grooming tips or ideas. (Plus really dont we all have some extra time on our hands these days ) Everyone continue to stay SAFE & HEALTHY!!!!!!

Just a little reminder that now is the perfect time to bond a little bit more with your fur baby. We are all looking for extra things to do so why not spend a few minutes a day brushing & combing (please don’t forget this step) out your baby. We are missing each and every one of you hope you ALL are staying safe & heathy.

I’ve been told just as many other small businesses in our community that as of Sunday we will be forced to close our doors until further notice. We understand your dogs grooming is a very essential part to their health so if it takes extra hours or even opening extra days we all will do our best to get them rescheduled as quickly as we can. EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY To answer many of your phone calls BIS will continue to be OPEN to care for your pets. At this time we have no plans to close. During this rapid development if we feel that the safety has been compromised for any of our staff our customers we will revisit that decision. We are closely monitoring all of the COVID-19 developments and it has forced us to implement some new policies to keep both our clients and staff as safe as possible during this difficul...t time. These will not be permanent but it is what we have all agreed on to keep everyone safe and to also respect the social distancing requirements that have been strictly enforced. THEIR WILL BE NO CUSTOMERS ALLOWED IN THE SALON- we will be doing curbside drop off and pick up only! You can pay with cash or check at time of pick up or we can take a credit card over the phone when we call you to let you know that your pet is ready. This is not only for the safety of yourself but also other clients and also for the staff. NO WALK IN SERVICES UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE- if your pet is an extreme dire need of having its nails trimmed during this time you can call us and we can make further arrangements. For all of your other questions we would like you to know that for the safety of our clients, pets and staff our sanitary procedures have been reinforced and increased in frequency during this time. We have also asked our staff to take extra precautions and to err on the side of caution for themselves including staying at home if they are not feeling well or anyone in their home has not been feeling well. If you have an upcoming appointment with us and you are not feeling well or anyone in your house has not been feeling well and have showed any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 we ask that you please notify us immediately and we will gladly reschedule your appointment. During this time if you feel the need to reschedule your appointment for ANY reason all cancellation fees will be waived. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time and we will keep you updated should anything change regarding business hours or operation.
