The swirl of our everyday lives can seem never ending. Shabbat's gift is a built in "pause button." It's a day that is different from all other days in the week. Take a deep breath. Note the everyday gifts around you. Find peace in the stillness.... Shabbat shalom.

During the High Holy Days, members of our BAS community were asked to share what Hayom Harat Ha Olam means to them. Rabbi Fredda Cohen, BAS member and Chaplain at White Plains Hospital, shared a perspective that is relevant every day. Hear how her experience inside White Plains Hospital at the height of this pandemic has shaped her perspective on life and the world around us. Also, hear how the morning minyan at BAS has become a stabilizing lifeline for Fredda during this unprecedented period.

Bet Am Shalom Synagogue 18.08.2020

It’s hard to believe the HIgh Holy Days were just two weeks ago. This year, BAS recreated our beautiful open tent online. We distributed special gift bags and Machzors to our members and collected food to help others. In addition to our members, we welcomed over 300 first-time guests to our High Holy Day worship this year! While most would prefer to gather in person, our community found a way to create meaningful connections and uphold traditions in new and creative ways. Our vibrant Jewish community continues to move forward with its inspiring and moving worship, robust adult education programs, and creative youth education programs. Want to learn more about our community? Visit betamshalom.org or email [email protected].
