What do you think, do you have any pictures of these pillars?

"Historic Bethlehem (with dogs and horses)" is on display at the library until October 31. You might recognize some of the pictures we used here to remind you the museum is open on Sunday. Which, we might add, it is. Open that is. This Sunday. The Cedar Hill Schoolhouse Museum, 1003 River Road, Selkirk. From 2 to 4.

Fred and Fritz remind you that the Cedar Hill Schoolhouse museum is open Sunday from 2 to 4. In the background is an old ice warehouse complete with a chute to move ice up into storage. The picture was taken in 1914. We're not sure if the ice house was still operational. Maybe. Even tho Fred and Fritz are on dry land, the area could have been flooded in winter for ice harvesting purposes.

Good morning! The Town of Bethlehem kicks off its first in a series of public meetings tomorrow at 6 PM as it looks to update the town comprehensive plan in 2021. The town and its update committee are seeking input from residents regarding their values, and there will be a breakout session dedicated superficially for historic preservation at 6:30! This is VERY important opportunity for BHA members & supporters to speak out and tell town leaders that a historic resources survey is badly needed, as well as a commission to to manage and advise government on those resources... please consider registering below and joining like-minded folks in supporting historic preservation. Thanks for considering! https://www.facebook.com/events/1273210026386804

Our fall newsletter is out, and it has a great article about the former Johnny B's diner. Check it out on our website. The picture here is circa 1962 when it was the Miss Glenmont Diner https://bha1965.webs.com/2020%20fall%20FINAL.pdf
