We are beyond grateful by the response from our Lead It Go! toy drive! THANK YOU so much to everyone who donated!!
Speech & Language Pathologist, Stephanie Fronczak's, favorite toy: BOOKS ! Why does Stephanie love books ? "Can you recall your favorite childhood story? It's never too early (or late) to introduce books to a child . A child learns how to listen , take turns, label pictures, point to pictures , predict what might happen, attend to the story teller, understand language , increase vocabulary knowledge, and retell the story all before she/he can read. And what a wonderful way to bond with a child !"
Speech & Language Pathologist, Sarah Gallivan's, favorite toy: Melissa & Doug Caterpillar puzzle . Why does Sarah love this toy ? "I use it weekly with my kiddos ! It's great for matching, identifying colors, fine motor and eye /hand coordination."
Occupational Therapist, Dana Hineman's, favorite toy: Snap-lock beads . Why does Dana love this toy? "They are great for babies to develop grasping skills. They also work on using both hands together, strengthening, as well as fine motor coordination. As children get older, they can use them to work on color sorting skills and patterning."
So fun! And not too far away!
