Biochemistry Literacy for Kids

Some of my amazing remote learning kids from North Carolina decided to make a little commercial for the program. Check out their polyethylene molecule!

I'm teaching another class for grownups if you know of someone who might like to take a weekend course through Genspace, the coolest community bio-lab in Brooklyn! The classes will be great, and they draw an eclectic mix of artists, designers, amateur scientists, and others.

Registration is now open for January LIVE virtual classes! We are offering introductory classes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to help students begin their Biochemistry Literacy journey. Tuesdays, January 5, 12, 19, 26: 11AM Eastern: Taught by Dr. Emily Brewer, this class section will begin on Lesson 1 and is for new students who would like a more assistance learning the core concepts of the program. Dr. Brewer has extensive experience teaching college students and homeschoolers..., and helped organize the first remote Biochemistry Literacy classes. Students who would like a more hands-on approach to foundational learning are encouraged to register for her class. Wednesdays, January 6, 13, 20, 27: 6PM Eastern: Taught by Dr. Daniel Fried, the creator of the program. This class is a discussion section, meaning it is assumed that students will come to class very well prepared to apply the material and ask questions. Students who learn quickly on their own and would like to apply the material they learn in the video lessons are encouraged to register for this class.
