A Summer Picnic Getup @gertie18 The Picnic Skirt can also be made as an overskirt for rompers and playsuits! The only changes I made to the youtube tutorial were to colorblock the skirt rectangle by creating a seam 10 inches down from the waist, and to only use one button at the waistband. It looks great with my Lamouretta romper (that’s a Lamour bodice and Loretta Shorts mash-up!). The skirt tutorial is free on youtube, the Lamour pattern is available on the Charm Patterns site, and the Loretta Shorts are available as part of our patreon subscription service.

Matka, also known as raw silk, loosely speaking, is a thicker silk yarn woven fabric. Tussah is a thicker form generally found in neutral colors while silk matka fabric features a finer, tighter weave also referred to as a silk linen-weave or silk linen. https://www.bandjfabrics.com/fabrics/matka
