How to figure out you business niche. When it comes to defining a niche you need to remember it's NOT about going after an industry. There are so many more things to target. A niche is a problem solved or a result gained, for a group of people, with certain characteristics, that no one else wants to serve... Problem solved What emotional or stressful situations are they trying to fix or change? Result gained Where do they want to get to and what are their goals? Group of people What community would these customers belong to? Certain traits/characteristics What makes this group of people different or specific? Then re-write these bullet points as We work with X type of people. Who have Y problem. And want to achieve Z result.
