We're excited to announce one of our anchor tenants at The International Plaza: Borinquen Bakery! Borinquen Bakery & Restaurant Inc. is operated by the Binet f...amily, including father Jose Binet, mother Drina Binet, and their son and two daughters. The Binet’s purchased Borinquen Bakery from another Latino family who had been in the neighborhood for many years. Mr. and Mrs. Binet and their children came to the United States in 2000 from the Dominican Republic. Originally, Mr. Binet worked in the Wegmans warehouse, but in 2018, he decided he wanted to become his own boss and purchased the bakery. The Binet family is committed to providing good food and good service to the community through their bakery. In addition, they chose to become vendors at the International Plaza to expand their business and reach new customers. Eventually, they would like to open multiple outlets. Daughter Hillary Binet (pictured above) has inherited her father’s entrepreneurial spirit and will help manage the bakery’s new location at the International Plaza. Welcome, Borinquen Bakery!

Starting Monday, Aug. 3, the City of Rochester is collaborating with 20 restaurants to deliver meals to area seniors, age 60 and over, who live within the city ...limits and are unable to travel to access food due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Seniors seeking to receive free meals can call 211 (or text 898-211) 24 hours a day, seven days a week to enroll in the program and order a meal. Meal orders are required a week in advance, and the first orders will be ready for delivery on Monday, August 10. Seniors can order up to three meals a week and place one month's worth of orders per call. Prepared meals are available for delivery up to three months. The City is contracting with Goodwill of the Finger Lakes 211/LIFE LINE Mission program to facilitate the enrollment and delivery process. Restaurants include: .
