Fall veggies are so pretty!
No farmer's market at Cafe Sankofa today. We've transitioned to the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month throughout the winter. Next week you can also get Kriemheld butter, Bread and Pastries from Scratch Bakehouse, and coffee beans from Salt City Coffee!
It’s cold outside but it’s warm at Cafe Sankofa! Come get your veggies until 6pm.
This cooler, overcast weather (not to mention snow in the forecast!!) has us hankering to curl up with a big bowl of popcorn by the end of the day We’re chipping away at removing all the kernels from the cobs, a time consuming process...good thing it’s our favorite whole grain snack! #southside #syracuse #grown #popcorn #warmth #winteriscoming #urbanfarming #wholegrain #storagecrops #robust997 #glassgem
Winter CSA sign up is live. www.bradyfarm.org/shop
Asparagus plants can be dug this Saturday from 9 am - 1 pm. Unfortunately we will not be able to "hold" plants, and we can't guarantee anything. We have four year old and 2 year old beds. Please bring snippers and a container to bring them home. We have some shovels that can be borrowed if needed.
We are getting a sense of what we can offer for our winter CSA and would appreciate your feedback. We have many more people interested this year, so we want to make sure we don't overcommit, and that we're also offering what people want. Regardless of the type of CSA, it will be an option of one or two weeks a month, from November - January, with a chance to add weeks later if possible. This year is different than the past in that we have the ability to sell at the Cafe Sanko...fa market twice a month, and we plan to offer a wider range of items. We will have our own crops that are grown in the field and high tunnels. We also plan to sell from other local farms and offer non-local and non-organic items in order to meet a wider range of community needs. The survey can be found here. https://docs.google.com//1FAIpQLSe0saHWSj963HZvPn/viewform We appreciate your time and feedback!
Did you know we accept SNAP at our farm stands on Thursdays and Saturdays? Visit us from 2pm-6pm at Cafe Sankofa every Thursday, and 9am-1pm at the Brady Farm every Saturday for some fresh fruits and vegetables.

How to take kernels off corn before you pop it. It’s very satisfying, and eating it is nice too.
