Brant Lake Bike Park 17.12.2020

It may not matter to some mountain bikers, but many of us ride on the road too!

Just a reminder that the whole trail system is closed for the year. The new trail and improvements to the existing trails came out better than we ever could have expected, but they’re too soft and wet to ride just yet. We’ll let you know when they’re ready to rock next spring. Have a great winter everyone!

THE TRAILS ARE CLOSED FOR THE SEASON. We don’t usually have a closing date, but the trail builders are done with the new trail and are now making improvements to existing trails. The disruption of tread surface with endless rain means the best bet is to stay off them until spring. Here’s a little sneak peak of what we get to ride next spring. Don’t ruin it by trying to ride now!

The new trail is coming out better than we ever could have imagined, but with all the rain lately we’re going to have to stay off it until the spring. It’s going to be one hell of a ride next year when the leaves pop!

The silipints finally came in! All Kickstarter rewards are now at The Hub. Come ride and stop by to pick yours up. While we’re all excited to check out new trail, please stay off until further notice. Freshly disturbed soil + rain = mud. The rest of the trails are riding great!

Kickstarter reward stickers are in! Stop by this weekend to pick yours up. The newly improved section of Stairway to Heaven is riding great, as are the rest of the trails. Hope to see you this weekend!

Come and get it: peak foliage weekend, a perfect riding forecast, and new trail work! Thanks to all the Kickstarter donations, the crew at Wilderness Property Management Inc. were able to improve the washed-out cobble section of the climb. The super-loose cobble rocks are now buried under better-built trail. If you've struggled previously on this section, come give it another shot. We've made it much more smooth, solid, and fun! The rain this week firmed everything else up too. The trails are riding great!

Trail work starts this week! The first order of business is to fix the mess this section has become. It was hard enough when it was new, but erosion has made it even worse. We’ll be building better drainages and firming up the gravel sections on the left hand side too. It should be ready to rock for the weekend! Don’t miss the peak leaves.

The trails are riding great! Looks like great riding weather this weekend, too. Just don’t let T-Rex get you.

I made it up to the view for the first time since early spring today. I wondered what condition it would be in with as heavily trafficked as it was this summer. There wasn’t a single piece of garbage that I could find. Congratulations everyone- you rock! -Drew #leavenotrace #packitinpackitout
