Our dear friends at Music For Food are hosing a concert in support of Broadway Community! Join us, Thursday Oct. 8, in a live-streamed event here on Facebook, as these extraordinary artists give of their time and talent to raise funds for our ongoing work. It's sure to be a remarkable evening! The arts are alive and generous in NYC!

Part of our mission is to care for the health and wholeness of our most vulnerable neighbors. With that in mind, and in response to the ongoing COVID-19 health crisis, Broadway Community is cancelling this month's Community Table, originally scheduled for this Thursday, March 12. We are grateful for the volunteers who signed up to support this month's meal -- and we hope that we will see you all next month (April 9), or at another Community Table in the future. We pray for ev...eryone's health and well-being. At this time, the other programs of Broadway Community remain open--including our Four-Star Soup Kitchen and our Shelter. (Volunteers will continue to be needed for the breakfast and lunch programs on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. If your schedule permits, we invite you to come join us.) We will be monitoring the situation closely, and will be in frequent contact with our partners, including the NYC Department of Health and the Department of Homeless Services. We ask for your prayers, and for your continued support for our most vulnerable neighbors during this time. Most of all, even as we move into this time of "social distancing" for good and healthy reasons -- let us not forget to practice kindness to one another, and to ourselves. Anxieties are high; fears are real. Let us be gentle through it all. Check on your elderly neighbors. Offer kind words and smiles to those you pass on the street. Contribute to agencies like ours that continue to make space for people to get the food and rest they need to keep healthy. We will get through this. Thank you for being a part of this Community.
